Nascar Milwaukee June 20-21
Newspaper Next weekend is the Nascar races at the Milwaukee Mile. Both are night races! We're staying at a hotel just 5 minutes north of the track in Wauwatosa. Last year I requested a seat change from top row section 408 (almost too high) to turn 1. I was surprised to get seats 2-3 rows from the top in stand CC3. The best sightlines of the track are in turn 1. The entire front straight and pit road are right in front of you. Any crashes in 1 will be coming directly at us! Parking for both nights can be tricky. It's a lot easier to park on the city streets of West Allis surrounding the facility (ala Lambeau Field). That's what we do. It's free and you don't have the wait time to get out. If you click on the track map below, a larger version will load.

Not having luck lately
Poker I was just playing on PokerStars where I compete mostly in sit-n-go tournaments. This week has been tough I'm making the right decisions but the results aren't on my side. Tonight I had pocket King's early on in the game. The dude sitting to my right bet 100 with Q J offsuit. I raised to 200, he's all-in, and I call. A King on the river came but I still lost.... you can see the complete hand by clicking 'read more'

Earlier this week I flopped a straight. I bet, was reraised, and I went all-in. Lost on the river to a full house.

You can find me playing online at either PokerStars or Absolute Poker. My nickname is 'racermark' on PokerStars. You can click on the Request menu and select Find A Player. On Absolute Poker, my nick is racermarkgb ... only cause my regular one was taken!! Click on Game Info then Find User. You can download the client software free. If your watching, say hi if you wish. Hope my results turn around soon!

Ok I'm still alive
Newspaper Been a long time since I've posted an update. This is probably at the bottom of list of things of do during any week. With my business, there is usually something to get done. Life in general is hectic so I pretty much have to force myself to post on here. I didn't want to have music being the only content on here haha. Another snowstorm on the way tomorrow. Nothing new about that this winter. It's one of those "1 in every 15-20 year" deals. Might as well stay inside and watch the Daytona 500. Difficult to think about the racing season starting when your getting buried.

Army of Anyone 'Goodbye' on Conan O'Brien
Music Army of Anyone with Richard Patrick of Filter and former members of the Stone Temple Pilots played their hit single 'Goodbye' on the Late Night with Conan O'Brien show in late 2006. Nope didn't get to see them in concert they were in Chicago around the holidays. What's cool is they also played hit songs from their former bands as well. Click on read more to view. Filter 'My Long Walk to Jail'
Music Tonight I have posted Filter's performance on the Conan O Brien show during the summer of 2002. They played their song 'My Long Walk to Jail' from the Amalgamut album. I converted it from analog to digital from a VHS tape. The band did an awesome job on the show that night. Filter is supposed to have a new album out later in 2005 plus touring. Hope you enjoy the video! Click on read more to view. (Copyright 2002 Late Night with Conan O'Brien NBC Television)

More cool video
Video About two weeks ago I found this site with a bunch of comedy videos. One I loved was House Jump in which this guy launches his remote controlled car over his house!! Another one worth watching is Car Stuck In Driveway Tow Me Out!. This guy and his friends are trying to get his car stuck out of his driveway. The end result is not what you'd expect. Warning: There is adult language in this clip don't play it if that bothers you. Take some time and watch these two videos they are excellent!

PHP-Nuke My former University of Wisconsin - Green Bay computer science professor Bruce Mielke just recently visited France. He has pictures available at his site from his three trips there. If you need any Web sites developed, he also runs a company called Negative Space Studio in Door County.

Funny Video
Video Many of us have dealt with people in telephone support. You know the individuals that speak half English. Plus they can't think for themselves and have to read instructions from a company computer menu screen word-by-word. Customer service is horrible. Probably sounds familiar huh? A video called Welcome to the Internet Help Desk relates to tech support employees. Awesome funny video a must see! I got a call from a temp agency six months ago that had a job opening for a job like this - my response was no thanks! Spending time on the telephone for hours would drive me crazy. You'll need Quicktime 6 to watch the video.

Summary
Hi! Thanks for coming to my home page on the World Wide Web. If we haven't met, my name is Mark. I live in Green Bay,Wisconsin in the USA, home of the 1996 NFL champion Green Bay Packers.

Links:

I love attending races, as well as watching them on television. CART championship racing is my favorite series, which I have been following since the summer of 1989. My racing idol has always been Emerson Fittipaldi. He is retired now after a serious accident at the Michigan 500, and also a small helicopter crash in Florida. In the future, Emerson will form his own CART team in the near future, so I'll still be cheering for his team. Jimmy Vasser, Al Unser Jr, Greg Moore, Scott Pruett, Alex Zanardi, and Gil De Ferran are my favorite drivers in CART.

Also, Nascar and Formula One are exciting racing series that are packed with good racing and lots of action. I cheer for Terry Labonte, Rusty Wallace, and Dale Jarrett in Nascar. Jacques Villeneuve is the best in Formula One and is a great guy too so he's my driver in Formula One.

Pictures

Photography is another one of my interests. I seem to have a good eye with taking great pictures, especially nature/scenic shots. Also, since I love to travel, that and photography basicly intermix together with me. I've been to a lot of cool places such as Cincinnati, Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, Nigara Falls, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Saint Louis, and Washinton D.C. just to name a few.

6/15/08 No more video for some time. Possibly 2009. The camcorder cassette tray won't open anymore. Have to buy a new cam.
